A note on the strings

Every character used here is a real Unicode codepoint, so the puzzles survive being pasted into
any modern app. What does not survive is the artwork: the same string looks different on Apple,
Google and Samsung keyboards, and a garnish that reads as a cherry on one phone can read as a
generic red fruit on another. If a puzzle stumps somebody, that may be why. For what the glasses
