Unicode characters are a public standard and are not owned by this site. Copy them, paste
them, use them commercially. No attribution is asked for or required.

The written content

The explanations, tables and page text on this site are ours. Quote them with a link; do not
republish pages wholesale.

Certification marks are not ours to license

Kosher, halal, allergen and other certification marks are registered trademarks belonging to
the agencies that issue them. This site describes what those marks mean. It does not grant any
right to display them, and displaying a certification mark on a product you have not had
certified is trademark infringement.

No warranty, and one specific caution

Everything here is provided as is. Character support varies by device, operating system and
font, and a character that renders on one phone may show as an empty box on another.

More seriously: do not use this site to decide whether a food product meets a religious or
medical dietary requirement. Certification status changes, agencies revoke and grant it, and
packaging is updated. Confirm with the certifying agency or the manufacturer.

These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
