Copy Paste Bar

About Copy Paste Bar

A reference for the food, drink and bar characters in Unicode, with a copy button on every one and a tool that repeats any of them a hundred, a thousand or ten thousand times.

What this site is

Every page here does one thing: it hands you a character. Click a tile and it is on your
clipboard. Under the tiles is the part most emoji pages skip — the character’s official
Unicode name, its codepoint, and the places it renders differently or breaks entirely.

Why food and drink

Unicode has hundreds of food and drink characters and they are the ones people hunt for most:
a coffee cup for a good-morning message, a
birthday cake for a group chat, a
beer mug for a Friday post. We cover those properly
rather than covering everything badly.

The certification marks are different

One part of this site is not about copying anything. The
kosher and halal marks
printed on food packages are trademarked logos owned by the agencies that certify the products.
They are images, not characters, and they cannot be copied as text. Those pages explain what the
marks mean and who issues them, and they say plainly that there is nothing to paste.

What we do not do

No account, no sign-in, nothing to install. Copying happens in your browser; the text you type
into the repeat tool is never sent anywhere. We do not claim any rights over the characters
themselves — Unicode characters belong to no one, which is the whole point of them.
